The elective B3EL102 Advanced Business Communication Skills requires students to have a C1.1 level of English. Please make sure to send your proof of English proficiency to ltc@eur.nl as soon as possible, but no later than 30 September with the subject 'Taalbewijs Engels C1.1 ABC Skills'. If you have been placed into the ABC-skills elective but did not send your proof of English proficiency before the abovementioned deadline, then you will not be allowed to participate in the elective. 

 

The LTC will only accept the proof of English proficiency listed below: 


IELTSAcademic test minimum overall score of 7.0 and minimum sub scores 6.5. 


TOEFL (iBT) & TOEFL iBT® Special Home Edition: minimum overall score 95 with minimum sub scores of 22 for reading, listening, 23 for speaking and for writing 24.


Please note that the ITP TOEFL test is not accepted as it does not test the speaking abilities of the candidate.  


Cambridge English test with a minimum overall level of C1 and subscores of 180 for all parts of the test (reading, writing, listening, speaking). Accepted forms of test are:

  • Cambridge English: Advanced
  • Cambridge English: Proficiency
  • Cambridge English: Business Vantage
  • Cambridge English: Business Higher

  • LTC assessment result C1.1 (validity max 1 year)


  • Course/test results at C1 level (CEFR) taken at any accredited university of applied science or research university within the EU/EEA. All aspects of the language must have been included in the test (reading, writing, listening and speaking skills). (validity max 1 year)


  • Your secondary school was taught completely in the English language in one of the following countries: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or within the EU/EEA.


  • You have an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and the official language of instruction was English. If you have completed only an IB English certificate, you must have obtained English A Higher Level certificate with a minimum grade of 6 or IB English A Standard Level Certificate with minimum grade of 7.


  • You have obtained a European Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum grade of 7.0 for English (language 1 or 2).
