Frequently Asked Questions - Tracks

I followed a Track last year but still need to complete (one of) the courses. Do I need to submit my Track preferences again?

No. If you are continuing with the same Track, you do not need to submit your Track preferences again. We will register you for the Track courses you still need to complete (2 weeks before the course starts). 

I followed a Track last year but would like to switch to a different Track. How can I arrange this? 

You need to submit your Track preferences in Osiris again between 1-30 September. If you are registered for courses from your previous Track by mistake, please contact us asap so we can deregister you from those courses. 

Where can I find course information about the Track courses?

Please check the Course Catalogue for a course description and additional information.

I cannot find the course for the current academic year in the course catalogue.

If the course is not yet visible for the current academic year, check the course information from the previous academic year. This may provide useful information about the course but please note that the information is subject to change.

How do I register my preferences for the Tracks?

To facilitate the process we have created lottery-courses. You can find detailed instructions in our announcements on the B3 Canvas page.

How does the Track lottery work?

The lottery uses an allocation tool that takes your preferences into consideration. No other factors (e.g. your GPA or the time of registration) will be considered during the allocation process.

Are there any requirements to register Track preferences in Osiris? 

You need to be enrolled for your third bachelor year at RSM and you need to have competed B1 (= 60 EC) in order to register your preferences and participate in the elective.

I have completed B1 by compensating for one course. Am I still eligible to follow a Track?

Yes. If you have successfully completed B1, including through compensation of one course, you are eligible to follow a Track in B3.

Will my GPA be considered in the lottery?

No. Your GPA does not affect your allocation to an elective.

Does the date on which I register affect my chances in the lottery?

No. Registering earlier does not affect your chances of being placed in your preferred course.

Does putting a Track as my first preference guarantee that I will get it?

No. Your preferences are taken into account during the lottery, but placement depends on the number of students applying and the number of available places.

Can I take my Track course (exam) online?

No. The Track courses are taught and assessed on campus.

Can I register for more than 1 Track?

No. You can only follow one Track at a time.

Can I register for courses from another Track?

No. You can only follow courses that are part of your registered Track. Students can switch to another Track in a subsequent academic year by submitting new Track preferences during the preference registration period.

No. You can only follow the Bachelor Project that is part of your registered Track.
