1. General information
Where can I find course information about the Track courses?
Please check the Course Catalogue for a course description and additional information.
I cannot find the course for the current academic year in the course catalogue.
If the course is not yet visible for the current academic year, check the course information from the previous academic year. This may provide useful information about the course but please note that the information is subject to change.
Can I take my Track course (exam) online?
No. The Track courses are taught and assessed on campus.

2. Eligibility & requirements
Are there any requirements to register Track preferences in Osiris?
Yes. You need to be enrolled for your third bachelor year at RSM, and you need to have competed B1 (= 60 EC) in order to register your preferences and participate in the lottery.
I have completed B1 by compensating for one course. Am I still eligible to follow a Track?
Yes. If you have successfully completed B1, including through compensation of one course, you can follow a Track in B3.

3. Registration preferences
How do I register my preferences for the Tracks?
To facilitate the process, we have created lottery-courses. You can register your preferences between 1-30 September via Osiris. Detailed instructions can be found on the B3 Canvas page.
Can I register for more than one Track?
No. You can only follow one Track at a time.
Can I register for (courses from) a Bedrijfskunde Track?
No. IBA students can only follow (courses from) an IBA Track.
If I do not register for a Track, will I be automatically assigned to one?
No. You will not be randomly assigned to a Track. You are responsible for submitting your preferences for the Track you wish to follow.
If you followed a Track in a previous academic year and are continuing with the same Track, you do not need to submit your preferences again.
I followed a Track last year but still need to complete (one of) the courses. Do I need to submit my Track preferences again?
No. If you are continuing with the same Track, you do not need to submit your Track preferences again. We will register you for the Track courses you still need to complete (2-3 weeks before the course starts).
I followed a Track last year but would like to switch to a different Track. How can I arrange this?
You need to submit your Track preferences in Osiris again between 1-30 September. If you are registered for courses from your previous Track by mistake, please contact us asap so we can deregister you from those courses.

4. Lottery & allocation
How does the Track lottery work?
The lottery uses an allocation tool that takes your preferences into consideration. Other factors (e.g. your GPA or the time of registration) will not be considered during the allocation process.
Does my GPA or registration date affect my chances in the lottery?
No. Neither your GPA nor the date on which you register your preferences affects your chances of being allocated to a Track. Placement depends on your preferences, the number of students applying, and the number of available places.  
Does putting a Track as my first preference guarantee that I will get it?
No. Your preferences are taken into account during the lottery, but placement depends on the number of students applying and the number of available places.

5. Track courses & Bachelor Project
Can I register for a course from another IBA Track?
No. You can only follow courses that are part of your registered Track. Students can switch to another Track in a subsequent academic year by submitting new Track preferences during the preference registration period.
Can I register for the Bachelor Project from another Track?
No. You can only follow the Bachelor Project that is part of your registered Track. However, if you already successfully completed the Bachelor Project from another Track in a previous year, you do not need to retake it when switching to a new Track.
I have already completed the Bachelor Project. Do I need to complete it again if I switch to a different Track?
No. The Bachelor Project has the same assessment requirements across all Tracks. If you have already successfully completed the Bachelor Project, you do not need to retake it when switching to a different Track.

6. Practical information
When can I see the schedule for all B3 and Track courses?
You can already manually look up the teaching and written test dates for all courses in MyTimetable. After we officially register you for the courses in Osiris, they will be added to your personal timetable. The Osiris course registration takes place 2-3 weeks before the start of the course.
When will I be registered for the Track courses in Osiris?
The lottery results will be published in Osiris by the end of October. Your actual course registration will take place 2-3 weeks before the start of the course. 
Can I change my Track after the lottery?
Yes, if places are still available. After the lottery, available places will be announced on the B3 Canvas page, under People > Groups. You can register for an available Track until mid-December. The exact deadline will be communicated in the announcements on the B3 Canvas page.
