Bachelor 3 – Core courses and Tracks
Tracks & core courses
In the second half of Bachelor 3 you will follow three core courses and one of the three Tracks (in Blocks 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5). Each Track consists of two compulsory courses (5 EC each), and the Bachelor Project (7 EC), 17 EC in total within a coherent field of International Business Administration. The Bachelor Project is an integral part of the chosen track and combines both individual and group components.
In addition to the Track, all students must complete 3 compulsory core courses:
- Block 3.3: B3101 Advanced Research Skills (3 EC)
- Block 3.4: B3103 Methods Master Classes (5 EC)
- Block 3.5: BT3101 International Business – The Dutch Way (5 EC)
Please note: The core courses and Tracks comprise 30 EC. The mandatory core course B3101 Advanced Research Skills takes place in block 3.3 (January-February), before the Tracks.
Requirement: Students are eligible to register for a Track only after completing all B1 courses (60 EC). Reservations are not permitted while B1 courses are still being completed. See article 3.4 of the TER for more information. |
Track Selection and Registration
- Track preference registration takes place between 1 – 30 September via Osiris.
- An allocation algorithm will be run at the end of October, taking your ranked preferences into account.
- Students must follow a complete Track; mixing courses from different Tracks is not allowed.
Please note that all tracks have a maximum capacity. It is therefore not guaranteed to be placed on your first choice. Track selection is not a requirement for admission to any specific MSc programme offered at RSM.

Within the old curriculum, the Tracks and core courses took place in blocks 12, 13 and 14. In the new curriculum the first core course takes place earlier, before the start of the Tracks. Also, there are fewer Tracks and the Track courses have changed.
