Elective Space in the first half of Bachelor 3

B3 Elective Space
In the first half Bachelor 3 you will create your own customized programme of 30 EC. Your options include a minor, an internship, an exchange, and/or elective courses. Depending on the number of EC earned with the minor, internship or exchange, you will need to supplement the remaining credits with elective courses to reach the required 30 EC. If you do not take a minor, internship, or exchange, you may complete the full 30 EC with electives.

Requirement: you can only register for courses belonging to the elective space if you have completed all B1 courses (60 EC)See article 3.4 of the TER for more information.

RSM electives
There are several RSM electives taking place in block 3.2 (November-December) and block 3.3 (January-February). All RSM electives are English taught. The RSM electives will terminate before the tracks start in block 3.4 (mid-February). The academic calendar can be found here.

Please note - core course B3101

The elective space comprises 30 EC. In addition, you are required to complete the mandatory core course B3101 Advanced Research Skills in block 3.3. This means you will earn a total of 33 EC across blocks 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3

Other options
In addition to the RSM electives, you may also choose a language elective, such as a Spanish or Dutch course (for IBA non-Dutch speaking students) offered by the LTC (fees apply).

You may also take electives outside of RSM, at another faculty or university (this requires prior approval from the RSM Examination Board. More information can be found here).

A complete overview of possible combinations within the B3 elective space can be found in this document.
